Executive Team

 

Brian Picerno

Brian Picerno is the President and CEO of The AFX Group. He acquired the company in 2016 with the goal of expanding its reach and ability to provide people-focused solutions.

Brian has more than 30 years of management and operational experienced gained through his career in the U.S. Army and working for the U.S. Government. Both in and out of uniform, Brian has worked on behalf of Soldiers and their families, ensuring full support. During much of his activity duty career he served as a Command Career Counselor for various units, cumulating at an HQDA Staff Agency. When he retired from the military in 2010, Brian continued to work on issues impacting Soldiers and Military Families, supporting the Army Soldier and Family Readiness Programs.

With clear vision, years of strategic operational work, and a passion for building strong teams, Brian works to ensure that The AFX Group provides outstanding support to clients and employees.

 

Sudie Nolan-Cassimatis

Sudie Nolan-Cassimatis is a Senior Vice President at The AFX Group. She joined the company in 2017.

Sudie has more than 15 years of experience in program management, curriculum and training development, strategic planning, public policy development, and corporate communications for a wide variety of public and private sector clients- from fortune 500 companies to global foundations to government agencies. Her expertise includes strategic communications, curriculum development, and overseeing global training programs. For the past ten years, she has worked in government contracting, focused on military transition services, and had provided stateside and overseas support to contracts with the Department of Labor, the Department of Veterans Affairs, and the Office of the Secretary of Defense.

Sudie is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP)®, with a postgraduate diploma in Social and Political Theory from the University of Edinburgh and a bachelor's of arts degree in political science from Emory University.
